about

La banda de Saba was formed in 2008 at an international call center in Spain. Banda de Saba combined popular Wassoulou songs and original songs. This eclectic band of Malian and Spanish musicians fused electronic music and acoustic instruments in an unique way.

The name of the band pays homage to great warrior Wassoulou Sabá. The music combines traditional and original songs from the kamalengoni harmonised in various styles: blues, mande, songhay, soukous, reggae, tamashek, son, and afrobeat.
